COURSE OUTLINE

This FULLY FUNDED COVID-19 ESSENTIAL TRAINING has been developed by Skills for Care specifically to support the sector to remain compliant throughout these challenging times. The approach has also been supported by The Care Quality Commission.  It has been designed to ensure that staff maintain their competence and feel confident, in providing a safe service.  There is no cost for this training as it is fully funded by Skills for Care.

Alium Care Training is endorsed by Skills for Care as a ‘Centre of Excellence’. We totally embrace the fact that everyone is unique, learns in different ways and at varying speeds. For this reason, Alium courses are delivered in a style that encourages delegates to become positively involved, comfortable and confident.  Our trainers approach everyone’s personal learning and development needs with enthusiasm and professionalism to ensure high levels of achievement and our (virtual) interactive delivery ensures understanding. This methodology also ensures that protocol is adhered to in the workplace and that staff are not only compliant but happy and confident in delivering excellent quality and safe support to those they care for.

These courses and packages are delivered in a combination of quality e-learning courses and virtual classrooms supported by virtual face-to-face tutor support and feedback.  The packages are also flexible so can be tailored to precisely meet individual candidate or business needs. The flexible delivery approach supports all learners and at times and ways that suit your (and their) needs.

Covid-19 Essential Training Packages:  

The ‘Covid-19 Essential Training Course’ is available in the following three packages but if elements within these do not suit your specific requirements then please contact us as we are able to tailor training solutions to meet your exact requirements (telephone 02034 189717 or email enquiries@aliumcaretraining.co.uk).

PACKAGE 1:  COVID-19 ESSENTIAL TRAINING FOR EXISTING STAFF 

Package 1 includes the following (although individual courses may be selected if required):

  • Assisting and Moving People
  • Basic Life Support and First Aid
  • Fire Safety
  • Food Safety
  • Health and Safety Awareness
  • Infection Prevention & Control
  • Medication Management
  • Safeguarding Adults

PACKAGE 2:  COVID-19 ESSENTIAL TRAINING FOR NEW OR REDEPLOYED STAFF 

Package 2 includes 15 Standard Care Certificates plus the following:

  • Assisting and Moving People
  • Fire Safety
  • Food Safety
  • Medication Management

PACKAGE 3:  COVID-19 ESSENTIAL TRAINING FOR VOLUNTEERS

Package 3 includes the following:

  • Adult Social Care
  • Their Roles and Responsibilities
  • Whistleblowing
  • Equality, Diversity and Person Center Values
  • Telephone Support and Communication
  • Pain and Discomfort
  • Infection Prevention and Control
  • Food Safety

Please note that if a Volunteer wishes to access this programme then they do not need to currently be working for an organisation.
